Galwegians/Galway Bay U-16s Reach Plate Final After Epic Win Over Sligo

The Galwegians/Galway Bay combined U-16 team battled their way to a brilliant 25-21 victory over Sligo in the Connacht Plate semi-final.

In a high-quality contest, the squad showed grit, teamwork, and no shortage of talent to book their place in the Plate Final. This partnership continues to go from strength to strength — and now, a shot at silverware awaits!

Well done to all players and coaches involved.

About Joe

Joe Naughton is a Galway-based writer who spends far too much time talking about sport and not nearly enough time playing it. A firm believer that every match deserves a proper write-up, even if it was played in sideways rain in a field with no lines.
